jams
In the heart of the Clyde Valley, over 125 years ago, two brothers, Robert and William Scott, rented land to grow strawberries. In 1880, they set up a factory in Carluke, known as the Clydesdale Preserves Work, to preserve the surplus fruit they grew.
Today, the 9,300 sq metre site, with the assistance of 7 dedicated full time staff, continues to manufacture, on average, 5 tonnes of jam per day. Many changes have happened over the years, where once goods were transported with the aid of horse and cart to local supply, they now wing their way around the country, and indeed the world. But what remains unchanged is our passion and dedication to our product and continued commitment to our customers, both near and far.
